Since bugday started, it's work has touched over 4,700 bugs, and has resulted in 1,600
resolution changes, accounting for one third of all (non-FIXED)
resolution changes  (4,800) for the period.   But there's more to do ...

prior experience is required - experienced staffers can help you in
#bugday IRC.  Suggested starting points, schedule, and other helpful

Thursday we focus on bringing new life to old bugs - updating bugs that have not had a comment since April 07, 2007.

This bugday we focus on matchmaking, i.e. finding matches to bugs which have been flagged as possibly being a duplicate of some other bug.

With Thunderbird 3 beta 1 coming soon**, Patch Love takes a break. And so we set our sights on swatting unconfirmed trunk bugs silly.

Several big features have landed which deserve testing prior to freezing the code which will later ship as Thunderbird 3 beta 1 (3.0b1). The objectives of this test day are :

• to get first impressions on these new features
• to identify any serious bugs, UI or design issues that might be correctable before shipping beta 1 

for the following features

Focus for this bug day is Patch Love - bugs which have a patch but the bug is not progressing to being resolved.
With a little attention some of these bugs can get into the next release, Thunderbird 3.

Patch Love is triaging. so coding experience is not needed. Help is available on IRC should you need advice.

the bug appears to be stuck and is not progressing to being resolved.
With a little Love (attention), we expect that many of these bugs might
still get fixed in Thunderbird 3.

clothing for this Love Fest is optional. Help is available on IRC should you need advice
about how to assist in a bug.

like to see as many as possible get into Thunderbird 3.
